“it's like having a basket of fresh red fruit dumped over your head”

Kate and Tom's wines fit what you'd expect from Crunchy Red Fruit: made from organically-grown grapes, harvested by hand, minimally processed, with no added chemicals or lab yeasts. But beyond the integrity and clean nature of their process, the wines are actually good. Tom and Kate understand what the great wines of the world taste like, but they're not trying to copy anybody. Instead, Division Wine Co. seeks to express vineyard and the grape variety in a true and unmasked way.

This 2016 Pinot Noir just screams Willamette Valley. It's like having a basket of fresh red fruit dumped over your head: raspberries, black cherries, strawberries and cranberries. It carries the distinctive Oregon green note too: fresh pine and damp forest underbrush. There's a wonderful note of allspice and sandalwood lurking under the fruit. Tom and Kate's wines have never been about jammy, syrupy fruit, and this delivers a complex aroma with a silky and rich finish on the palate.
